As such, we offer flexible, open enrollment so you can join in at anytime for as little or as long as you'd like.

Who we are
Founded in the Fall of 2023, The Academy of Living Arts is a flexible, Life Skills Academy for children & adults that supports the entire family by offering holistic & integrative learning with community connection to support creative, artistic & holistic families on their unique homeschooling/ unschooling, educational journey.
We offer a wide variety of engaging topics, health & wellness practices, life skills & empowering tools from the East to the West in a safe, nurturing, multi-age environment that supports the entire process of learning in a natural and organic way to encourage an individual's unique passions, strengths and dreams to emerge naturally.
Examples of projects we have already done or are currently working on:
-Create, assist and perform music at a Season Festival at Elevation Central - Nov 2023
-Write, edit, design, market and publish our own books - May 2024
-Create a brick and mortar small business from the ground up in the form of a community market with apprenticeship & volunteer opportunities for the children - Launch May of 2024, on-going
Currently, the lightly guided, focused learning of the academy is for ages 10+ with the vision to add younger children in the future.
Younger children and their parents are welcome to drop in for a day, a week or possibly more,
for a family wellness & holistic learning retreat and the opportunity to connect with other homeschooling/unschooling children & families.
Our aim is to offer flexible & creative solutions for holistic & artistic families where everybody wins!

The masculine aspect of our environment.

When things are fun, we want to learn. So, we aim to make learning fun!
6-Movement is essential 🏊♀️
We are born to move. This is how we process & integrate the information we take in. We move daily & often.
7-Play is power. 🤾♀️
Play releases happy hormones and increases our confidence and courage. We play every day and do our best to make learning fun and engaging.
8-Laughter is medicine. 😂
One of the best ways to digest the experiences of life (both positive & negative) is through laughter. It’s a natural mood enhancer as well. We love to laugh and do it often.
9-Rest is productive. 💤
Rest is an integral part of our transforming, healing, rejuvenating & energizing process. We honor the body and mind's need for rest.
10-Silence is golden 🌟
When we get quiet, creativity flows, answers come to us, we learn to trust our inner guidance. We spend time in silence regularly.
11-Learning is natural 🌬️
We are born learners and when we are encouraged to explore what we enjoy & what has meaning for us, it’s as natural as breathing.

Academics
Our intention is to educate & support non-traditional, homeschooling/unschooling families with holistic & empowered learning, right brain activation, valuable life skills & practical tools for a well-rounded experience that sets children & adults up for success in all areas of their lives.
Everything we offer is optional, flexible & adaptable.
There will be no grades, homework, testing, attendance tracking, etc.
Individual families are in charge of all research & reporting for their chosen way of homeschooling/ unschooling in whichever state they are registered and are free to supplement their educational journey as needed for their academic goals and desires. We are happy to offer guidance and suggestions.
We are in no means a traditional school following traditional curriculum.
However, our aim is to cultivate an environment of diversity, respect, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning by offering a wide array of educational & artistic topics, valuable life skills & holistic health practices along with supportive guidance for children & adults to connect to what is most authentic and true, what they find meaningful and what they also enjoy while helping them to develop the necessary skills to create a life of their own design.

Health & Wellness
As a wellness integration center, the focus of Elevation Central and the Academy of Living Arts is on the embodiment of organic, nature-based technology for the entire family.
Both science and experience proves, we are the happiest and most receptive to learning when we spend lots of time outdoors, playing, moving our bodies, connecting with others, having fun, exploring different areas of interest, gaining valuable skills, finding meaning and applying what we learn to every day life.
We plan to do all of this and more on a regular basis.

Academy Schedule
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
9:30am-3:30pm*
(you can choose 1, 2 or 3 days as well as a yearly, seasonally, monthly, weekly or daily membership depending on your needs)
*Flexible drop off from 9a-9:30a and flexible pick up from 3:30p-4p so families can take their time coming in and out and enjoy the facilities if desired - journaling, swimming, hot tub, sauna, stretching, stretching, coffee, connection with friends, etc.

9:30a Opening circle-intention setting, discussion, meditation, music
10a-10:50a Health & Wellness-anatomy, physiology, flow arts, fitness, dance, movement, yoga, breath work, outdoor play, cold plunges, etc.
11a-12p Reading, writing, spelling, storytelling, acting, public speaking, foreign language, poetry, etc.
12p-1p Lunch, rest, free play & personal project time
1p-3p Math skills, science, art, music, solo & group projects, integration, practicum, etc.
3p Clean up and open play
3:30p-4p Center Open with flexible pick up time**
**Parents are welcome to drop off their child as early as 9am and pick up as late as 4pm. They are also free to enjoy self-care time, coffee, sauna, hot tub, relaxing, cold plunging, swimming, etc. during school hours.

-Guided learning for one 10+ member: Tues, Wed & Thurs 9:30am-3:30pm Sept-May (Jan, June, July, Aug off)
-Flexible drop off 9a-9:30a and pick up times 3:30p-4p
-Parent use of the facilities between 9a-4pm

Visiting friends & families of all ages are welcome to plug into the Academy for a day or a week and stay onsite if desired: a family retreat/vacation of holistic education, wellness, community & tools of integration all in one!
We have a couple of rooms for families to stay on-site short term.
We understand that every family is unique and do our best to provide a custom solution for each family's needs and desires.
